Roots

Blaze Force is shaped by the place we call home — a region where history, identity, and resilience are deeply rooted.

Our inspiration comes from Vermoim, a territory that once held great importance in the north of Portugal. For centuries, it stood as a centre of power and defence, witnessing moments that would leave a lasting mark on the region's identity.

The dates 999 and 1016 reflect some of the most significant periods in this history. These were times marked by conflict and instability, when the region faced invasions that tested its strength and endurance. The Castle of Vermoim, despite its strategic importance and strong defensive position, became the stage for these events, leaving behind stories of resistance, loss, and survival.

Following these events, the area experienced a long period of decline and abandonment. Yet, over time, it regained its relevance, continuing to play an important administrative and cultural role in the region. This cycle of rise, fall, and renewal became part of its identity.

It is this legacy that inspires Blaze Force. The inclusion of these dates is not just a reference to the past, but a way of preserving the memory of a place that endured through change and uncertainty.

Today, Blaze Force carries that story forward — not as history alone, but as part of who we are.
